Behind the Scenes

The Apostle Paul explains that leaders were given to the church in order to equip the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-12)
Each week at Valley Church the building is packed with people from the church and the community who meet for worship, Bible studies, kindergarten and preschool. Keeping our facility running and maintaining cleanliness is a constant endeavor so all the groups can use the church facility–truly a primary tool in the mission of Valley Church.
Behind the Scenes (Mission and Vision)
This ministry serves our brothers and sisters in Christ as well as our community: quietly and behind the scenes. We do this by setting up for events, performing maintenance, cleaning, gardening, and keeping an eye towards other areas that relate to the overall comfort of the facility.
Teams include:
- Events set-up (as needed)
- Cleaning (weekly and bi-weekly)
- Snow Removal (Seasonal as needed; sidewalks on Sunday only)
- Gardening (Seasonal, planting and maintaining flower bed)
- Parking lot maintenance (bi-weekly island weeding and trash pick up)
- Maintenance (monthly painting, repairs, construction projects)
- Interior litter pickup (Auditorium litter pickup; Sundays)
Team Leaders:
Behind the Scenes team leaders are needed in addition to teams who want to serve by maintaining our facility and serving those who use it.
Who Can Serve:
You can serve Behind the Scenes if:
- you are at any age or life stage (anywhere from elementary school to retired)
- you can commit for a year,
- you can come in once a week, once a month or as needed
Behind the Scenes is not only a great way for individuals to serve, but also a fantastic outreach and connection tool for families, couples, parents and children, small groups and Life Groups.
